The price of your FUE hair transplant at The Glasgow Clinic is £5 per graft.
The diagram below shows a suggested number of grafts to give a reasonable density of hair over that area only.
The exact number of grafts you require will depend on your existing hair loss and your desired density and hairline.
If you submit current photographs via our online consultation form we will reply with a rough estimate of the number of grafts you require. However for an accurate number you will need to be assessed in person at a one-to-one consultation.
Area 1 – 1,000+ Grafts
Area 2 – 1,500+ Grafts
Area 3 – 1,000 Grafts
Area 4 – 1,000 to 2,000 Grafts
Add two or more areas together to estimate the number of grafts needed.
FUE prices
500 grafts – £2,500
1,000 grafts – £5,000
1,200 grafts – £6,000
1,500 grafts – £7,500
1,800 grafts – £9,000
2,000 grafts – £10,000
2,500 grafts – £12,500
*The minimum price for an FUE procedure is £2,500, for up to 500 grafts.
Our surgical team give the same high level of care to each and every single one of your grafts. We don’t offer a discount as an incentive to choose larger procedures because the appropriate number of grafts to transplant should be a personal and medical decision, not a financial one.
Please note that the price quoted is per ‘Follicular Unit’ graft transplanted – each FU typically contains between 1-4 hairs each, so a 1,500 graft procedure would typically mean around 3,000 hairs.
All of your grafts are individually examined and assessed for quality – we only implant grafts that we expect to grow.
The above pricing is a general guide for typical FUE procedures. Certain specialist procedures – particularly scars, eyebrows, and hair transplant repair – are quoted individually after consultation.
The true cost of a hair transplant
For most of our patients a hair transplant is a significant investment. The FUE procedure which we offer at The Glasgow Clinic is very technical, demanding and labour-intensive and requires a large team of highly-skilled and experienced hair transplant specialists – so it is not cheap.
If your choice of procedure or clinic is mainly driven by cost, then our advice is – wait a year, explore medical options, and do some more research before making a decision. As one hair transplant repair patient put it – ‘a cheap hair transplant can be far more costly than an expensive one’.
No sales gimmicks
It is stressful enough making the decision to get a hair transplant and then choosing the right clinic – we don’t believe that clinics should add to your stress with high-pressure sales tactics from pushy salesmen, misleading claims or confusing terms and conditions, time-limited special offers, too-good-to-be-true finance deals, etc. If a clinic offers a 70% off deal on Groupon you should ask yourself why they need to offer such a big discount to keep busy. If they can fit you in next week, you should ask yourself why they don’t have a waiting list.
Choosing to have an FUE procedure is an important decision, and we don’t believe that you should feel pressured to make this decision on the day of your initial consultation. Likewise we believe you should have the chance to meet the doctor who will be performing your procedure in advance, and to discuss your situation and ask questions.
Fully inclusive
The price is fully inclusive – there are no hidden costs. We offer a free initial consultation, where you will get to discuss your individual situation with the doctor who will be performing your procedure. There are no extra booking fees or registration fees. If your procedure requires to be spread over two days, you will have the option of a complimentary overnight stay. And all post-operative support and follow-up appointments are completely free of charge.
