Pauline McCluskey graduated with a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Glasgow in 2001, and since then has worked in a variety of roles including general and vascular surgery and A&E. Pauline is currently a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, having finished her GP training in 2008. Pauline is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the College of MVLS affiliated to the University of Glasgow’s School of Medicine, Dentistry & Nursing, and has completed further postgraduate qualifications including LoC in Subdermal Implants Insertion and Removal (LoC SDI-IR), as well as three diplomas (DFFP, DCH and DRCOG). Pauline trained in the FUE procedure under Sergey Fedorov. She has been working with us at The Glasgow Clinic since 2016, and attended the 2016 European Hair Transplant Workshop in Manchester, which was sponsored by the ISHRS and endorsed by BAHRS.
Sergey Fedorov was educated at First St. Petersburg Medical University in Russia where he studied General Surgery, he has been a practising surgeon in Russia since 1986 and was also a surgeon in the 40th Russian Antarctic expedition.
He undertook specialist maxillofacial and reconstructive surgery at the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education in 1997. After graduating he trained under Bradley Wolf in the United States learning the intricate techniques of hair transplant surgery. He spent two years working in Brussels before heading to Dublin to work for eleven years. Sergey has been working in the hair transplant industry since 1996 and is a member of the ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery).
Sergey said: “Hair transplant surgery is like an art. There is a lot of skill involved, a lot of design, creativity and accuracy.

“Our industry is constantly changing and new skills are being introduced all the time. It’s important for us to stay educated and develop our techniques in order to maintain our world-class status.”
Sergey is a keen fisherman. He loves ice-fishing, particularly in the Antarctic – his favourite place in the whole world.
James Donald McKelvie
James Donald McKelvie was educated at the National University of Ireland in Dublin. James began his career as a hospital doctor in the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. He spent six years between the Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Stirling Royal Infirmary as a senior hospital doctor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Following GP training James is currently an out-of-hours hospital doctor for the Forth Valley and Highlands whilst working alongside us here at The Glasgow Clinic.
